Financial Aid Awareness Month is celebrated across the nation every February. This celebration is an effort to provide crucial information to families and students about federal, state, and institutional financial student aid. During February, students are urged to complete the FAFSA before the deadline of March 1, 2022, access their financial aid packages, and get the most bang for your buck at your top college choices.
What is the FAFSA?
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The U.S Department of Education uses the FAFSA form to determine students eligibility for federal financial aid based on their financial situation. This form takes under thirty minutes to complete and could provide you access to federal grants, scholarships, work-study and loans, basically free money to pay for school.
