Financial literacy has become an increasingly important topic, especially as it relates to our youth. Many educators across the nation are doing their part to bring awareness to youth on the importance of being financially literate. Money Smart Week (MSW) is a nationwide program that promotes financial education through multiple channels and programs, including having MSW youth ambassadors to impart knowledge to their peers.
The newest episode of Wallet Watch, titled “Youth and Financial Education,” is an interview with four Money Smart Week youth ambassadors on their knowledge of financial literacy. We talk with the ambassadors about budgeting, retirement, investing, and even predatory lending. This episode highlights the growth of financial education that our youth are receiving. The four ambassadors share tips and tricks that they have picked up to create healthy spending habits and more.
