Spending all that money on college can make you want to pinch pennies for a while! Luckily, there are lots of free, fun, and cheap things for students to do on campus without breaking the bank.
Movie screenings

Check out the weekly movie screenings on campus via Campus Center Cinemas! New movies are selected each week to bring recently released movies for free to students who live on campus. For students living off campus, tickets often cost less than $5 a piece. Upcoming movies are listed at
Residence hall events

Each residence hall has dedicated housing staff who brings programming to on-campus students every week. Events could include movie nights, ice cream socials, guest speakers, and more! These events are regularly advertised on each floor and often in the common areas for each hall. Off-campus students are generally welcome at most of these events too.

MSU offers two free on-campus museum experiences with regularly updated exhibits. The MSU Museum offers history and science experiences from a range of cultures and time periods. The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum offers exposure to a variety of artistic exhibits displaying the work of artists from around the world.
